•Work very closely with the family, organizations in the community, Department of Mental Health and Human Services, Emergency Room personnel, social or faith communities – such as friends extended family members, ministers, neighbors, and more

•Primary mission is to resolve crises and take action to prevent escalation

•Links patients with community resources

•Arranges mental health care for those with no or very little ability to pay

•Works with families and individuals who are experiencing a situational crisis and those who have chronic concern

•Work to prevent hospitalization of psychiatric treatment facility –PRTF
